Autopilot to Self-Driven
Mindlessness to Mindfulness
Apathetic to Empathetic
Prosperity to Peace
The mind is a powerful tool but often leads us astray. Zoning out, scrolling through newsfeeds, hearing people talk but not actually listening – these all happen when we let our mind lead the way. We can be distracted or even destructive. But when the mind is properly harnessed, we can become creative and constructive. We can be a more disciplined student, a more supportive friend, a more productive member of the community.
This summer, join CHYK Houston as we illuminate the mind through satsang, discussion, and workshops guided by Acharya Vivekji and Brahmacharini Shweta Chaitanyaji. The camp will focus on the six sacred verses of the Siva Sankalpa Suktam, the hymn in praise of the Truth. Guided by our Acharyas, we will come to understand the ‘What’, ‘Why’, and ‘How’ of the mind. Over the weekend, we will learn techniques for quieting our mind, improving our focus, and finding peace in our daily lives.
CHYK Houston welcomes all interested from ages 17-28.
