“YEP has caught me from the tumultuous waves of life, my guru has placed me on a raft, and the seva activities & sadana will keep me firmly rooted in my pursuit of peace&happiness, living every day to the fullest.”

Hari Om.
I had completed my Masters and was a working professional when I realized that I still did not have the peace&happiness that I always craved. I had many questions about my cultural history, the meaning behind my religion, the purpose of life, and the path to that permanent state or bliss irrespective of my surrounding; consequently YEP became a platform to cultivate that clarity, conviction, and commitment. As I sit here less than a week before the last day of YEP not only have I identified some major limitations/obstacles in myself that cloud this vision of Satcitananda but tools to reach that state in the most practical manner. The discipline that I have inculcated and the Brahmavidya that I had a brief introduction to will serve as my crutches for the rest of my life to keep me balanced in every hill or valley of experiences and emotions. My two months here has helped me reflect upon and condense the last 24 years of my life into a useful platform to facilitate my sadana and spiritual growth. To think that two months of sadana and Vedanta can provide me with the vision for each day, each year, and the rest of my life is reason enough to continue with these practices and build my conviction further. I was able to discover the incredible impact of focused energy. By working through happiness rather than for happiness I know that I will be a more efficient and effective contributor to society, a kinder human being, and get closer to building my inner sanctuary no matter what life throws my way. Whatever career path I take or interactions I have with people, places, objects, experiences, time, and space I will have no reason to worry and face them with courage. The most incredible aspect of YEP has been connecting with Krishna, Gurudev, my guru (Swami SarveshanandaJi), and the essence of Vedanta. Every aspect of life become more beautiful and bearable when I know that Krishna is with me and guru has my back in spite of all of my insecurities and vulnerabilities. The shastras have provided me with an intellectual understanding of the greatest picture of life and I hope to be in that state of oneness one day soon. Before YEP Gurudev was a great leader and founder of the mission but after this course I am truly understanding the immense knowledge that he provided and the most beautiful compassion that he did it with. My respect, admiration, and gratitude for having mission in life and the YEP course as a jumpstart to my soul has intensified. YEP has caught me from the tumultuous waves of life, my guru has placed me on a raft, and the seva activities & sadana will keep me firmly rooted in my pursuit of peace&happiness, living every day to the fullest. At YEP I was able to plan out my work for the rest of my life and I look forward to working out my plan through His Grace. Om tat Sat
